Candy was my first foray into CNC machining. The goal was to use SolidWorks, SoidCAM and a 3-axis HAAS Minimill to make a piece of desk candy from raw aluminum stock. 

 

Ellie, the elephant​ took four flips on the mill to achieve the intricate features and undercuts. She is about 2" long and 1" tall. Once machined, she was sanded and polished. The intricate pattern was achieved by coating the top surface in CerMark and laser etching the design.
